Theodore Cecil Jenkins Sr.

Theodore Cecil Jenkins Sr., 76, of Covington, La., passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024.  He was a native of Covington, La. and a lifelong resident.  Theodore was a member of the Baptist faith and a Carpenter by trade.  He retired from Southeast Louisiana Hospital after 27 years.  Theodore enjoyed gardening, hunting, watching wrestling and cooking for family and friends.  He loved listening to Christian Bluegrass Music and spoiling his Grandchildren with Einey his faithful dog by his side.

Theodore was preceded in death by his Wife, Nola Pritchett Jenkins, Parents, Bouey & Magie George Jenkins, Brothers, Huey Jenkins, Frank Jenkins, Alford Jenkins, Louis Jenkins, Demus Jenkins, Sister, Linda Jenkins Gleber and Emezel Jenkins McIntyre.

He is survived by his Son, Theodore “Teddy” Jenkins Jr. & wife April Hamilton Jenkins of Mandeville, La., Brother, Hollis Jenkins of Covington, La., Sister, Lucy Jenkins of Georgia, Grandchildren, Sebastian, Richard, Alex and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, La., 70433.  Rev. Ronald Allen will officiate.

The family would like to thank Sandra & Hollis Jenkins for the compassionate care they gave Theodore during his illness.
