Sylvia (Turner) Scheuermann

Sylvia Turner Scheuermann, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was a native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish.  Sylvia was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet, La.  She enjoyed reading her prayer book and saying the Rosary daily.  Sylvia was a homemaker, loved to bake and care for her family.  She loved playing volleyball, swimming, bowling, participating in the Senior Olympics and spoiling her grandchildren.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 Years, Carroll Scheuermann, Parents, Lawrence & Gertrude Turner and Brother, Terrence Turner.

She was survived by her Sons, Eric Scheuermann and wife Mayra of New Orleans, La., Kurt Scheuermann and wife Lori of Covington, La., David Scheuermann of River Ridge, La., Daughter, Laura Sander and husband Kirk of Chalmette, La., Brother, Lawrence Turner of Slidell, La., Grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Matthew, Caroline, Charles, Elizabeth, Great Grandchildren, Khloe, Kamryn, Carroll, Matthew Jr. and a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, La., 70433, officiated by Deacon Craig Taffaro.
