Sam S. Dentro, Jr. passed away peacefully at home in Mandeville, LA on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Native of Chicago, IL and longtime Mandeville resident, age 74 years. Beloved husband of 41 years to Renell Hickey Dentro. Loving stepfather to Angela Walsh, Lisa Englade, Omer Gouner III, and Mark Gouner and his wife, Vanessa. Devoted step grandfather of 9, and step great-grandfather of 3.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Committal & Military Honors to be held at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Rd., Slidell, LA on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
