Ryan John Hurst was a resident of Slidell, Louisiana. He was born on February 12, 1984, and passed away on August 16, 2026.  Early on his electrical aptitude was evident, his childhood bedroom featured a small wooden desk topped with a simple soldering iron and an array of circuit boards-their components carefully customized-perpetually present to aid in the cultivation of his craft.  Oscilloscopes and ammeters replaced action figures and ALF seemingly overnight.  He went on to work as an electrician for many years; starting his own company, as well as working alongside his older brother for much of his career.  He had a passion for learning and a predisposition for attention to detail that could be appreciated in any of his work.  Ryan's humor persisted in all things.  He would pull off a plethora of pranks over the years and had a habit of interjecting arbitrary movie quotes into casual conversation wherever he saw fit.  Those closest will remember his quick wittedness coupled with his inclination to help others wherever he could.

Ryan is survived by his Wife, Kelli Hurst, Son, Kody Hurst, Parents, Debbi and Tom Hurst, Brother Sean Bonner, Sister, Kaeli Christopher, and best friend Scott Fridge.
