Russell Joel Molinere

Russell Joel Molinere passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025 in Slidell, LA.

Born in Pointe Barre on January 15, 1934, Russell graduated from Acadian Baptist Academy. 1958, he enlisted and served in the US Army. He worked for many years at the LaSalle Hotel in New Orleans as a concierge. He loved being outdoors, fishing, bird watching, and working in his garden.

Beloved husband of Kathleen Gerry Molinere. Loving father of Russell Molinere Jr. and his wife,  Darleen Monique Buisson, Elena Russo and her husband, Scott, and Briana Briscoe and her husband, Corey. Loving stepfather of Cindy Rendberg husband Eric Brian Perez and his wife, Pamela. Devoted grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Russell is also survived by his brother, William Molinere.

Russell is preceded in death by his late parents, Levest and Pearly Billiot Molinere; and his siblings, Andrew Molinere, Mercedes Calvert, Louis Molinere, Joyce Johnston, and Roland Molinere. He is also preceded in death by his late wife, Mary Ann Molinere.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Committal Service with Military Honors at Southeast LA Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Rd., Slidell, LA on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM.
