Ronald William Urbanyi

Ronald “Ron” William Urbanyi, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024.  A native of Toledo, Ohio, he was a United States Navy Veteran and served in the Vietnam War.  He retired as a Pipefitter after many years and from General Motors.  A passionate outdoorsman, Ron found immense joy in fishing and hunting, activities he shared with his buddies.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Judy Urbanyi, with whom he shared a lifetime of travel and cherished memories and Son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Urbanyi.

Ron is survived by his Son, Greg Urbanyi of Columbus, OH and Daughter, Amy Dalton of Slidell, LA, Brother, Arthur Urbanyi of Smithfield, VA.  He was a proud Grandfather to Kate Dalton and Jack Dalton, who brought him joy and pride. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, Ohio with burial immediately following at Allen Township Cemetery in Williston, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA.org) in Ron’s honor.

Local arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington.
