Ronald Wayne Chatelain Sr., 84, of Abita Springs, La., passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 25, 2024, with his wife by his side. He was a native of Maurepas, La. and a resident of Abita Springs, La. Ron was a United States Navy Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Avondale Shipyard as a Pipefitter and Proprietor of Creative Glass & Metal in Abita Springs, La. Ron was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Southern Cruisers Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working with his hands to help others especially his carpenter skills and being an Artist by carving and painting on glass.
Ron was preceded in death by his Parents, Edward & Eugenia Chatelain.
He is survived by his Wife of 50 Years, Jacklin Dill Chatelain of Abita Springs, La., Daughter, Cynthia “C.C.” Chatelain of Abita Springs, La., Sons, Ronald W. Chatelain Jr. & wife Stephanie of Lacombe, La., Richard W. Chatelain & wife Nina of Metairie, La., Grandchildren, Carson, Catherine, Hailey, Ricky, 5 Great Grandchildren and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
