Rita Mary (Addotto) Hauswald

Rita Mary Addotto Hauswald, 70, of Folsom, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, ,2025, surrounded by her family.  She is a native of New Orleans, La. and was a resident of Folsom since 1988.  Rita attended Annunciation Grammar School and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School Class of 1972.  She then graduated from University of New Orleans with a Bachelors Degree in Education.  Rita was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Latin Mass Chapel where she worked with mass intentions and collections.  She previously worked at Whitney Bank as the Head Teller, Bell South in the Sales Communication Department and was a Paraeducator at Pineview Middle School in Covington and retired in 2017.  Rita enjoyed attending Mass, working in her yard, riding and showing horses in her younger years, travelling to Montana, cook and spending time with friends and family.

She is proceeded in death by her Parents, Frederick & Rita Addotto.

Rita is survived by her Husband of 41 Years, Gerald Hauswald Jr. 0f Folsom, La., Daughter, Hannah Hauswald of Folsom, La., Sister, Kathleen Craig of Covington, La., Brother, Frederick Addotto Jr. of Poplarville, Miss. and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Latin Mass Chapel, 4465 N. Causeway Blvd., Covington, La., 70433 with Father Damian Zablocki will officiate.  Internment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, La., 70119.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Mass Intentions in her name at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Latin Mass Chapel.
