Peter Albert Hartman III

Peter Albert Hartman III, 82, passed away on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024.  He was born on October 24,1941, in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for most of his life.  The last 18 years he called Covington, LA home.  Peter worked as a journeyman for 40 years at Dauterive Plumbing.  He enjoyed everything sports, going to Off Track and exercising with his friends at Franco’s Health Club.  Peter’s most enjoyment was caring for his wife, the love of his life, making sure she always had what she needed. 

Peter was preceded in death by his Parents, Peter A Hartman Jr. & Ruth Dauterive Hartman and Brother, James Hartman Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Frances Polito Hartman of Covington, La., Children Alison Hartman Rhodes (David) of Covington, La., Elizabeth Hartman Olivier (Kenneth) of Rehoboth, Mass., Grandchildren, Kristina, Gaston, Sebastian, Cameron, Emily, Rebecca, Great Grandchildren, Isabella, Karley, Siblings, Joanne Fried, Patricia Hollingsworth, Donald Hartman and numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. 

The family will receive friends on May 10, 2024, at 12:30 PM with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM Friday at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, La., 70433. Father Alex Guzman will officiate.
