Patricia Emily (Prescott) Gordon

Patricia Emily Prescott Gordon, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, with her family by her side.  She was a native of New Orleans, La., a former resident of Abita Springs, La. and a resident of Mandeville, La.  Pat graduated from Baptist Hospital Nursing School with a degree in Nursing as a LPN.  She enjoyed the life of being a preacher’s wife and played the piano for many years at church.  Pat was a member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans and then in her later years was a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church in Folsom, La.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, attending Sunday School and assisting with Vacation Bible School.  Her favorite food was Shrimp, a Roast Beef Poboy, McDonald’s McRib and loved watching Andy Griffith, Walker Texas Ranger and anything with John Wayne.  Pat enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Rev. Marvin Gordon Sr., Parents, Vester and Marion Prescott and Nephew, Matthew Prescott Voth.

Pat is survived by her Son, Marvin Gordon and wife Donna of Covington, La., Sister, Kathy Prescott Voth of Abita Springs, La., Grandson, Andrew Gordon and wife Caroline, Step- Grandchildren, Shaina Patil and Ujwal, Sarah Krok, Great Grandchildren, Benjamin Gordon, Noelle Gordon, Step-Great Grandchildren, Kashi Patil, Devi Patil, Great Niece, Aylajane Prescott Morrison and numerous friends and family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10 AM with a Memorial Service at 11 AM at Red Bluff Baptist Church, 15204 Hwy. 1078, Folsom, La. 70437.  Inurnment will follow a different date at Navilla Baptist Church Cemetery, McComb, Ms.

The family would like to thank Pat’s sister, Kathy, for the love and care of Pat for many years.
