Mitchell Wayne Achord

Mitchell Wayne Achord peacefully passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 surrounded by his family. A native of Baton Rouge, LA and long time resident of Abita Springs, LA.

Mitch is lovingly survived by his wife of 45 years, Patti; his children, Christopher Achord, Daniel Achord and his partner, Kindall Sutherland, Jacquelyn Ledgerwood and her husband, Joshua Ledgerwood; and his cherished grandson, Daniel and soon-to-be-born granddaughter, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melton and Jackie Achord, as well as his two sisters, Debra and Beverly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Mitch's honor at the Abita Springs Town Hall, 22161 Level St., Abita Springs, LA to be held on Friday, July 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations in Mitch's honor be made to the charity or foundation of your choice.
