Michael Paul St. Romain, 79, of Mandeville, La., passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Mandeville, La. Michael was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War with the rank of SSGT. During his service period he earned a Bachelors Degree in Communications Technology. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, was a member of #6369 Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree Knight serving many offices while active. Michael retired after over 50 Years in the Communication Industry. He enjoyed camping in the mountains, actively helping in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, tinkering and spending time with friends and family. He will be dearly missed at the Mandeville Community Center.
Michael is preceded in death by his Father, Raven Joseph St. Romain.
He is survived by his Wife of 60 Years, Jacqueline Southard St. Romain of Mandeville, La., Son, Kenneth St. Romain & Partner Thomas Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia, Daughter, Kathleen Martinell & Husband Brian of Mandeville, La., Mother, Louella Dubroc St. Romain of Wyoming, Brother, Dale St. Romain and Wife Joel of Independence, La., Sister, Peggy Hyslope of Wyoming, Granddaughter, Amanda Martinell of Mandeville, La., Great Granddaughters, Ava and Alexis Calamari and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 9:30 AM with a Memorial Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, La., 70433. Rev. Stephen Okoro will officiate. Inurnment will follow at 1:30 PM at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, La., 70460 with Full Military Honors.
Following Inurnment at the Cemetery, the family would like to invite friends and family to the Mandeville Community Center at 3:00 PM to Celebrate Michael’s Life.
