Michael “Fat Nap” Curtiss Nappe, 75, of Abita Springs, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a native of El Paso, Texas and was a resident of Abita Springs for the past 17 years. Michael was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He then graduated from University of New Orleans with an Associates Degree in Engineering. Michael retired as an Electrician from the United States Postal Service after over 31 years of service. He enjoyed sports, golf, going to festivals, playing darts, an avid animal lover and cooking for friends and family.
Michael was preceded in death by his Wife, Joan Nappe and Parents, Harry and Norma Baker.
He is survived by his Daughters, Tammi Nappe of Slidell, La., Tina Nappe Biggs and husband Brian of Abita Springs, La., 3 Grandchildren, Samantha, Gabriella, MacKenzie, 3 Great Grandchildren, Naomi, Nyla, Stefan, and a host of friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, La 70460.
