Michael Joseph Hinckley Sr., 76, of Metairie, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024.  He was a native of New Orleans, La. and a life long resident of Metairie, La.  He was of the Catholic faith and graduated from University of New Orleans with a Degree in Engineering.  Mike was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam War.  He retired from the Railroad Industry as an Engineer after over 27 years of service.  Mike enjoyed gambling, watching LSU football and the New Orleans Saints, travelling and visiting friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Wilfred Hinckley Sr., Mother, Patricia Peyton Hinckley and Son, Michael “Mickey” J. Hinckley Jr.

Mike is survived by his Daughter, Michelle Shepley of Metairie, La., Brothers, Bernard Latusik of Mandeville, La., Wilfred “Pookie” Hinckley Jr. of Metairie, La., Sister, Marilyn Retif of Terrytown, La., Grandchildren, Joshua, Leah and many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
