Michael John Harris

Michael John "Johnny Blue" Harris passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024 in Covington, LA. A native of New Orleans and life long resident of Metairie, LA, he was 74 years old. Michael is survived by devoted son, Chad M. Harris and his wife, Sherie, his grandchildren, Brock Michael Harris and Carson Rose Harris, as well as his brother, James W. Harris, Jr. and his wife, Gail. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Waugh Harris, Sr. and Theresa Marie Hubble Harris. Michael retired from B & G Crane Services of New Orleans, and afterwards enjoyed driving for Uber & Enterprise Rental Car, as well as many other businesses he was involved in. Additionally, he loved cooking, entertaining, fishing, and being with family, friends, and all his work guys from over the years.

A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on December 7, 2024, at the Dixie Tavern, 3802 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70002 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
