Melvin Edgar Parker

Melvin Edgar Parker, 60, of Talisheek, La., passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He retired as an Exterminator in the Pest Control Industry after 34 years of service.  Melvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, gardening, pigs and chickens, his dog Jake and his country lifestyle.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Johnny & Mary Parker, Brothers, Johnny Parker Jr. and Kenneth Parker.

Melvin is survived by his Sisters, Brenda Crutchfield and husband Bob of Bush, La., Renaye Wilmer and husband Joe of Huntsville, Ala., Sheri Parker of Covington, La., 5 Nephews and 1 Niece.

The family would like to give Special Thanks to Dennis Davis, his nephew, who resided with Melvin and helped him tremendously around the house.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington. La. 70433.  The family will receive friends at 10 AM.  Pastor Winfred Baker will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana, 8200 Hampson Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70118.
