Mary H. Young

Mary Helen Taranto Young passed away on July 2, 2015 at the age of 90. She was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for most of her life, then moved to Mandeville for the last 15 years. \r\nLoving wife for 70 years to the late Jacob A. ‘Jimmie’ Young, Sr. \r\nDevoted mother of Jacob A. Young (Janet), Diane Y. Hof (Dan), James ‘Ray’ Young (Stephanie), and the late Patricia Y. Scaccia and Susan E. Young. \r\nDaughter of the late Jacob H. Taranto Sr. and Honorine Latapie Taranto. \r\nSister of Felix Taranto, and the late Honore’ and Jacob Taranto. \r\nAn exceptionally loving grandmother of Kimberlie Rogers, Joseph (Monique), Jennifer, Jacob III, Stephanie, James Jr., Jason Young (Carly), Jeffery Hof, Brian Hof, and the late Vincent Scaccia III.\r\nGreat grandmother of Christopher Rogers (Ashia), Camryn, Abby, Caleb, Evangeline, Magnolia, and Teghan Young. \r\nStep great grandmother of Jacob, Madison, Sophia, Samantha, and Steven Hof. \r\nSpecial love goes to Stephanie Young for her devotion the last 5 years of caring for her grandmother.
