Mary Ann (Burger) Vaughn

Mary Ann Burger Vaughn, 80, of Metairie, La., passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Metairie, La. Mary Ann was a member of the Catholic faith and enjoyed praying her Rosary. She graduated from Academy of Holy Angels Class of 1963, and Southeastern Louisiana University in Education. Mary Ann retired as a Teacher after many years of mentoring children. She loved sports, especially cheering for the New Orleans Saints, going to Mardi Gras Parades, reading crime novels, and most of all spoiling her Grandchildren.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her Husband, J.D. Vaughn, Parents, William (Pete) & Virgie Burger, Granddaughter, Emmery Faith Vaughn, Brother, Robert Burger, Sister, Margaret (Peggy) Hava, Gloria Burger and Melanie Burger.

She is survived by her Sons, Billy Vaughn and wife Becca of Metairie, La., Jeff Vaughn and wife Michelle of Ponchatoula, La., Grandchildren, Jeffrey, Wyatt, Sawyer, Annalyse, Branden and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
