Mary Ann Theresa Gauthreaux Ducote

Mary Ann Theresa Gauthreaux Ducote, aged 68 years, passed away in Richton, MS on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Born and raised in Harvey, LA, she was also a long-time resident of Mandeville, LA, before eventually residing in Richton, MS. Mary was a beloved and cherished mother, a loving, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She never met a stranger and was known to always be very giving. Mary has worked as a social worker, bookkeeper, security guard, and a bartender; she was a jack of all trades. She will be missed dearly by her relatives and dear friends whom she loved very much. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Sterling, Sr., and Elsie Gauthreaux; her five brothers, Sterling Gauthreaux, Jr., Gerald Gauthreaux (Roberta), Albert Gauthreaux, TOC, (Annie, TOC), Dennis Gauthreaux (Darlene) and Danna Gauthreaux, OMI; her daughter, Angel Ann Cagle; and great-granddaughter, Layla Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Candy Ann Sheridan (David Garcia); Former son-in-law Rick Sheridan Sr. and her sister-in-law, Darlene Gauthreaux; her grandchildren, Rick Sheridan, Jr., Emily Sheridan (Hunter Whittle), Shannon Ducote, Amber Cagle (Michael Cooper), Robert Cagle, Jr. (Destinee Grabert); her great-grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Bryce Wilson, Christoper Britton, Queen Tucker, Elysia Cooper, Michael Cooper, Jr., Khade Teal, Karmella Cagle. As well as many nieces, nephews, and lifetime friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023, with Visitation beginning at 11 AM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:30 PM at Christ Jesus Apostolic Ministries,  21200 Hwy 36, Abita Springs, LA 70420. Burial will take place on the following Monday, August 21, 2023, starting at 11 AM at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA 70056.
