Mary Louise Ferry

Mary Louise Herlihy Ferry, 79, of Metairie, La., passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.  She was a native of Waveland, Miss. and a resident of Metairie, La.  Mary Lou was a member of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church in Metairie.  She enjoyed her time running the concession stand at Delta playground where she developed lifelong friendships.  Mary Lou liked cooking, hosting parties, visiting casinos and playing with her cats.  Mary Lou was a great example of what a wife, mother and friend should be.

She is preceded in death by her Son, Scott Ferry, Daughter, Susan Ferry Quigley, Parents, Cornelius and Ora Mae Herlihy.

Mary Lou is survived by her Husband of 59 Years, Eugene Ferry of Metairie, La., Sons, Eugene “Buddy” Ferry Jr. and wife Mary Catherine, Timmy Ferry and wife Mary, Mark Ferry, Daughters, Connie Anderson and husband Richard, Leigh Weindel and husband Ray, Amy Montalbano, Sally Moreau, Daughter-in-Law, Melissa Ferry, Grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Raegan, Paul, Catherine, Nathan, Blake, Brian, Brett, Allison, Jamie, Ethan, Arden, Addie, Great Grandchildren, Olivia, Murphie and Brother-in-Laws, Sister-In-Laws, numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 9:30 AM with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8617 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, La. 70003.
