Mary Suzanne (Wolverton) Casanova

Mary Suzanne Wolverton Casanova, 64, of Abita Springs, La. passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, in a local hospital.  She was a native of New Orleans, La., a former resident of Lacombe, old Mandeville and Walker, La. and a resident of Abita Springs, La.  Susie was a member of the Christian faith and graduated from Mandeville High School Class of 1979. She retired as a paraprofessional having worked in both St. Tammany and Livingston Parish Public Schools.  Susie was selfless to a fault, always putting others first. She loved her family immensely and was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a friend to everyone and loved by all who knew her.  Her passion was going out to eat, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.  Susie was a mover and shaker, so full of life and fun.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, William Thomas Wolverton & Mildred Casler Wolverton, Brother, Darrell Wayne Wolverton and Brother William Thomas Wolverton Jr.

Susie is survived by her Husband of 38 Years, Kirk Stanley Casanova of Abita Springs, La., Son, Kent Chatellier Jr. and wife Krista of Franklinton, La., Daughter, Katie Casanova Miranda and husband Ryan of Madisonville, La., Sister, Barbara Murray, Grandchildren, Valerie, Peyton, Mack, Myles and numerous Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Friends and Family.

The family will receive friends on March 9, 2026, at 9:30 AM at St. Timothy on the Northshore Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, La., 70471, with a Memorial Service at 10:30 AM with a reception to follow.  

Susie had a way of connecting with people and making them feel special. Susie has touched so many lives and will always be with us.
