Marjorie Ethel 'Margie' Esquinance passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Marjorie was born on November 17, 1930 in Mandeville, LA to the late Floy Esquinance and Paul Esquinance, Sr., and had recently moved back to Mandeville. Margie is survived by her two nieces and nephew; Genie Esquinance Brabham, Denise Esqinance Naquin, and Dewey August Esquinance, Jr., whom she helped raise. She is also survived by her grandson, Matthew Brabham(Lacey), great granddaughter, Maren Brabham, as well as her special niece and nephew who often visited her; Brenda Young and Billy Esqinance.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Esquinance, Jr., Emory ‘Flick’ Esquinance, August ‘Dewey’ Esquinance, Gloria ‘Sister Gertrude’ Esquinance, and Vertie Esquinance Young.
Those who knew Margie will remember how thoughtful and giving she was, and how much she loved The Lord. She loved life and loved all animals, especially her horse, Prince. Margie will be dearly missed all who knew her. Our family asks that she be remembered for the joy that she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA at 11:30 AM with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Mandeville Cemetery, corner of Montgomery St. and Foy St., Mandeville. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, LA.
