Marie Alverda (Miller) Johnson

     Marie Alverda Miller Johnson, 91, of Hammond, La. passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026.  She was a native of Eunice, La., a former resident of Slidell, La. and a resident of Hammond, La. Marie was of the Catholic faith and worked as a PBX operator, a waitress and Homemaker.  She enjoyed the outdoors working in her garden.

     Marie was preceded in death by her Husband, George Luke Johnson, Parents, Wesley & Alice Sonnier Miller, Brothers, Leon Miller, McDaniel Miller, James Miller, Sidney Miller, Herman Miller, Perry Miller, Johnny Miller and Sister, Jean Miller.

     She is survived by her Son, John Michael Johnson of Hammond, La., Brother, Stephen Miller of Metairie, La., Grandchildren, Britt Matthew Johnson, Jacquelyn Marie Kelly, Joseph

Matthew Johnson, Joshua Michael Johnson, Charlie Tegan Johnson and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

     The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM with a 11:00 AM Memorial Service at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, La.
