Lois Williams Maes

Lois Williams Maes passed away peacefully in New Orleans, LA on Monday, May 26, 2025. A native of New Orleans and resident of Violet, LA age 82 years. Beloved wife of John Maes for over 51 years. 

She is survived by her loving children, Ann M. Canfield(Phillip), and John Maes, Jr.. Devoted grandmother of Forrest R. Canfield(Sylvia), Joshua Maes, James Maes, and David Maes, and devoted great grandmother of Kaiser Maes. Loving sister of Robert ‘Willie’ Williams and Eddie Williams(Judy). Loving great aunt of Steven and Garrett. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces & nephews.

Lois is preceded in death by her son Melvin Cook, her parents, Robert H. & Bernice DuPlessis Williams, as well as her siblings,  Linda Graham and Alfred DuPas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment following at St. Joseph #1 Catholic Cemetery, 2220 Washington, Ave., New Orleans, LA.
