Lloyd Joseph Johnson passed away peacefully at home in Mandeville, LA on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. A native of New Orleans and resident of the Northshore since 2005, he was 87 years old. Lloyd is survived by his loving sons; Alan Johnson and his wife Ellyn, and Ronnie Johnson and his wife Kristen, as well as his devoted grandchildren, Emma and Anna Johnson. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley Mohr Johnson, as well as his parents, Robert E. Johnson and Rachel H. Lipsey. He is also predeceased by his son, Kenneth J. Johnson. Lloyd was born in Baton Rouge and grew up in New Orleans’ 9th Ward. He attended Palmer Elementary School and graduated from Nichols High School, Class of 1954. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army Reserves for 8 years. He and Shirley were married at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans on June 24, 1961. Lloyd worked as a
salesman and retired after 45 years from Wurzburg Bros. Inc. He loved wildlife photography and served in his church choir for over 45 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 12:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment immediately following at St. Louis No. 3 Catholic Cemetery in New Orleans. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, LA. The Johnson family would like to
