Linda Joyce Newman Hansen, age 77, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.  Born on September 13, 1949, Linda was a loving, kind, and joyful spirit who dedicated her life to her family and her community.

Linda spent her professional career bringing new life into the world as a compassionate Labor and Delivery Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at both St. Tammany and East Jefferson Hospitals.  Outside of her career, she was an avid soccer fan and coach, and she was affectionately known as "NANA" to everyone who crossed her path.

She was preceded in death by her parents, AE and Maxine; her partner, Robert; and her stepdaughter, Kristy.

Her beautiful legacy lives on through her children: Stacy (Stephen), Blake (Michele), Brenna (Chris), Robert (Nicole), and Gregory (Dayna); her siblings, Kay, Mary Beth, Mack, and Chuck; her former husband and lifelong friend, David (Joy). She is also survived by her 11 cherished grandchildren: Shelbi (Scotty), Shari, Bree, Spencer, Shea, Bethany (Brendan), Brandon, Jeremy, Jonah, Chase, and Cody; her 7 great-grandchildren: Skylar, Sadie, Jade, SJ, Kayden, Lila, and Holland; as well as a large and loving circle of extended family members and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
