Lawrence Lynn Lima passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the age of 63. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Elysian Fields. Lawrence attended Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, LA and furthered his education at the University of New Orleans majoring in Geology and Coastal Sciences. With his passion for traveling and geology, Lawrence found his way through Asia where he visited numerous countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka. In Hua Hin, Thailand, he met his wife, Rong Wadeeram where they married and spent a wonderful 25 years together and had their only child, Jennifer Lima.
Lawrence was a bright light to all and friends to many all over the world. He was known best for his words of wisdom, loyalty, and infinite number of stories he gained over the course of his life. He was a devoted Christian who believed in living by God’s words and spreading His love and faith to all. Lawrence had a passion for learning and constantly evolving.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Lima, and his mother, Glyn Bourgeois Lima.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Rong Wadeeram, and his daughter, Jennifer Lima. Lawrence lived a life of devotion and charity as he spent his years working for a nonprofit, Christian Disaster Relief, and traveled immensely throughout Asia where he met his wife.
A Funeral will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, LA. 70433, from 11AM-12:00 PM on October 18th, 2024.
