Kim Hosli Massicot, 70, daughter of Marion & Milton Hosli, and mother to Kristin Smith & Lindsey Kempf, passed away on January 20, 2024. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Mandeville, surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law.
She was born June 23, 1953 in New Orleans, LA. She was known for her down to earth personality, love for her family, and hard work ethic. She was a dedicated part of the family business, Hosli Printing, for many years until she found her calling in the hospitality industry, specializing in transportation. She eventually started her own hospitality staffing company which was renown for its reliable and personable service to many of the conventions and tourists of our city. Her hosting extended well beyond business, as the doors to Kim’s house were always open. She offered her home to anyone, caring for many family and friends. Kim was an incredible contributor to her family, friends, and this city. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Kim’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life.
Kim is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Wayne Hosli, and her adored sister, Sharon Roberts. She is survived by her daughters Kristin Smith, Lindsey Kempf (Jordan); brother, Keith Hosli (Laurie); mother-in-law, Barbara Massicot; sister-in-law, Terry Dunlay; brother-in-law, Dave Roberts; and dear friend, Ronnie Yenni. She adored her grandchildren including Kinlee, Ruth, Graham, Evers, Harris and Annalee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Life service will be held February 18, 2024 from 12:00pm-3:00pm at Derbes’ Mansion 2257 Bayou Rd New Orleans, LA 70119
