Kenneth Palmer was the son of Retus Palmer and Lavonne Rankin, brother of Marshall Palmer.  He was the best friend of Markee Joseph Berthelot and Shannon Kepler and godfather to their children, Juleea and Markee John Berthelot.  He graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 1966. After retiring from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture in 2003, he spent his time traveling the world and taking care of his loved ones. He especially loved his cat who he called Pretty Kitty.  After 80 years of life he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which is ultimately what took his life in the comfort of his own home around 7:30 AM on December 7, 2024.  Kenneth was a kind and generous man who leaves behind a legacy of importance in the hearts of all of those lucky to have known him.  He will forever be missed, dearly and deeply.
