Kenneth "Poppie" Decareaux

Kenneth Raymond “Poppie” Decareaux entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Lacombe, LA. Kenny was born in Gramercy and lived in Covington for over 25 years. He was an active parishoner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Covington, serving as an Usher, a member of the Monday Night Disciples and Knights of Columbus. A long time retreatant of Men of Manresa, Group 51 and also active with the Tulane Greenbackers.\r\nLoving spouse of Elaine Martinez Decareaux for 22 years.\r\nDevoted father of Kenneth Decareaux (Brenda), Terry Decareaux (Gina), Michele Coats (Lenny), step children Jamie C. Berg (Steve), Stephanie Casey Aloi (Rick), Jim Casey (Janet) and Allison Cooper (Darryl).\r\nBrother of Mae Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Mamie Decareaux, brothers Thomas Decareaux and Larry Decareaux, Sr., sisters Berl Leblanc and Nell Bond, first wife Lynette LaMarca Decareaux and step daughter Michelle Casey.\r\nLoving grandfather of Kyle, Kristyn, Cory, Olivia, Cameron, Taylor, Rachel, Zachary, Cody, Casey, Cole, Colin, Bryce, Brock and Allana and survived by one great grandchild, Isabella. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\n
