Joseph Felix Toranto, Jr.

Joseph Felix Toranto Jr., 83, of Lacombe, LA passed away quietly on May 24,2024. He is preceded in death by parents, Joseph Sr. and Marie, granddaughter, Taylor, and sister-in-law, Dottie. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, his brother, Rudy Toranto, sister, Marie Blanchard (Bob), children  Joseph F. Toranto, III, Joline Holder and Jennifer Jenkins; Grandchildren Adrian, Dominic, Daylon, Andrea, Kenya, Ezekiel.

In his words:

It’s over. Years of every emotion possible. Had a good run at it. Want to thank everyone, especially my wife, Jackie, and my three wonderful children, Jody (Stacy), Joline (Buddy) and Jen (Andrew). The lessons received by my generation were given by caring parents, Joe and Marie. The thing I remember most was my dad telling me, “Be the best you can be. Even if its collecting garbage, be the best”. To my grandchildren Adrian, Dominic, Dalyon, Andy, Nae, and Zeke, I want the same for you. Be the best you can be. To my family and friends, I want to thank all of you for the many great memories. I hope that I shared in your good times. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 LA-433, Slidell, LA on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment to follow at Southeast LA Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA.
