Joanne Alma (Vojtaskovic) Billiot

Joanne Vojtaskovic Billiot passed away on December 27, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. She was born in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was the beloved wife of the late Norbert Billiot Sr.; cherished mother of Deacon Norbert Billiot, Jr. (Carol), Anna Jones (Bryant), Cheryll Calato (Sal, Jr.); proud grandmother to Bryant Jones Jr. (Lindsey), Christina Kalantari (Michael), Mindy Jones (Derek Menard), and Courtney Calato Lee (Sam); adored great-grandmother of 7 great grandchildren; and sister of Irma Callais, Susan Blackman, David Vojtaskovic and Rebecca (Becky) Marchand. She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Joseph Vojtaskovic.

Joanne was a homemaker, taking care of the needs of her husband and children for many years. She was an excellent seamstress, and knitted and crocheted blankets for her loved ones. Her greatest joy were spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 9:30-11:00 at St. Bernard Catholic Church. A Mass
