Jerry Wayne Cowans

Jerry Wayne Cowans departed on Monday, April 21, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana, at 71. He was born in New Orleans, LA, and resided in St. Rose, Louisiana, for most of his life before relocating to Covington, LA, two decades ago.

Jerry's woodworking prowess involved building furniture. He derived pleasure from fishing with his late comrade, tending to the vegetable garden, and spending time with horses personally and in training capacity. Jerry was affectionately a family man who loved spending time with relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his former wife Lisa Gyline, Parents, Clifton & Irene Cowans and Sister, Doris Carter, the late Deaner, Gean, James, Richard, Mary Ann, and Patricia Cowans.

Jerry is survived by his Sons, Luke Cowans, Joey Cowans, Brother, Roy Cowans, numerous friends and many nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by all who know him.

Private services in his honor will be on May 4, 2025.
