Jeffrey Mark Schmidt

Jeffrey Mark Schmidt, 63, of Covington, La., passed away after several courageous medical battles on Sunday, October 1, ,2023, surrounded by his family.  He was a native of Odessa, Texas and a resident of Covington, La.  Mark was employed in the Construction Industry doing various jobs to help people.  He was a member of the Baptist faith.  Mark enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and playing a good game of cards.  He loved and cherished spending time with family and friends, especially spoiling his grandchildren.

Mark is preceded in death by his Parents, Jack & Eva Sparks Schmidt, Brother, Kirk Schmidt and Sister Cindy Schmidt Alcorn.

He is survived by his Daughters, Brittany Schmidt and Saul of Metairie, La., and Robbi Schooley and Tyron of Lafayette, La., Brothers, John Schmidt of Covington, La. Shawn Schmidt of Arp, Texas, Nieces, April Schmidt Montalbano and Roy of Covington, La., Bonnie Schmidt and Coty of Abita Springs, La., Emily McIntyre of Kentwood, La., Melissa Schmidt and Chris of Gilmer, Texas, 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter and numerous Cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at 23035 Hwy. 1084, Covington, La. 70435.  Please bring your favorite memories to share.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
