Janice Uzee Tudury

Janice Uzee Tudury passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 in Chalmette, LA. A native of Lockport, LA and lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, age 86 years. Janice is survived by her loving children, Lisa T. Hymel and Alan G. Tudury, Sr.(Christine); her devoted grandchildren, Joey S. Hymel, Alan G. Tudury Jr., and Alli M. Tudury, as well as her loving great grandchildren, Elle M. Bougeois and Jaxon M. Bougeois. She is also survived by her siblings, Gay Uzee O’Neal and Lynne Uzee Folse, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, great nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edna B. Uzee and Atney R. Uzee Sr.; her son, Mark W. Tudury; her grandson, Gavin M. Tudury; her brother, Atney R Uzee Jr.
Janice was born and raised in Lockport, Louisiana in the same house her father was born in. She relocated to New Orleans and eventually St. Bernard Parish after marriage. She went through hurricanes Betsy and Katrina, and decided to never leave St. Bernard Parish. Janice retired from the Orleans Levee Board after 24 years of service. A dedicated mother and doting grandmother, she loved her family and her home more than anything else.
