James Rene "Jimmy" Touchard

James Rene “Jimmy” Touchard, 63, of New Orleans, La., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.  He was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans.  Jimmy was a member of the Catholic faith.  He retired from the Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome after 25 years and received an Employee of the Year Award in 1995.  Jimmy enjoyed being with his friends and his 2 dogs, Lucky and Satin, socializing and spending time with family.  He will always be remembered as having a kind heart and sweet soul.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his Father, Paul Touchard Jr., Mother, Lynn Shearon Touchard, Brother, Paul Touchard III and Step-Mother, Frances Touchard.

He is survived by his Sister, Michelle Vaughn & husband Jeffrey of Ponchatoula, La., Brother, Marc Whitfield & wife Mary of Baton Rouge, La., Nephew’s, Chad Touchard, Matthew Whitfield, Niece’s, Erica Murphy, Eleanor Ward & husband Hays, Anna Whitfield, Paige Whitfield, Great Nephew, Walter Ward and Companion, Betty Kirkland of New Orleans, La.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
