James Charles Even

Mr. James “Jimmy” Even, 71, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, in Mandeville, La. surrounded by his loving family.  He was a native of Folsom, La. and a resident of Mandeville, La.  Jimmy graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He was a member of the American Technologist Association and worked in the Healthcare Industry for over 20 years.  Jimmy was a member of REACH Community Church in Mandeville, La. where he attended faithfully. His Grandchildren were the Apple of his Eye and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Jimmy’s faith in the Lord was the pillar in his family for much of his life.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Charles & Ellen Even.

Jimmy is survived by his Wife of 50 Years, Mary Hegmann Even of Mandeville, La., Sons, Thomas Even and wife Ivonne of Houston, Tx., Brian Even and wife Lorena of Mandeville, La., Daughters, Rachel Alvarez and husband Patrick of Bush, La., Christina Weidner and husband Jamie of Mandeville, La., Brothers, Michael Even of San Diego, Ca., Matthew Even of Orlando, Fl., Sisters, Joan Goff of Covington, La., Mary Legere of Austin, Tx., Becky Leek of St. Louis, Mo., 16 Grandchildren, Jonathan, James, Isabella, Olivia, Thomas, Abigail, Benjamin, Madelynn, Sofia, Judah, Gabriel, Lily, Annabelle, Seth, Hadassah, Elias and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM, Saturday at REACH Community Church, 3699 Hwy. 59, Mandeville, La., 70471.  The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM.  Pastor James Weidner will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to REACH Community Church, ATTN:  Shanghai Healing Home or reachcommunity.net

Cremation was entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, La.
