James “Jammer” Joseph Curran Jr. 60, of Covington, La., passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024. He was a Native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Covington, La. James was a Custom Carpenter by trade and enjoyed working with wood. He loved camping, going to the river, the outdoors, cooking, spending time with family and friends and riding his motorcycle.
James was preceded in death by his Parents, James and Hilda Canoy Curran.
He is survived by his Daughter, Adrianne Smith of Holden, La., Son, Brandon Curran of Ponchatoula, La, Brother, Kevin Curran, Sisters, Janice Daire, Patricia Carver, Deborah Matoya, Judy Darnall, Mona Cole, Grandson Dante, Granddaughter Eden and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Shannon’s Tavern 70117 Hwy. 59, Abita Springs, LA 70420. The family would like to thank Lisa Fabel for the kindness and sympathy she gave Jammer during his illness as she was always by his side.
