Henry Saucier Obituary

Henry Desire Saucier, Jr., age 80, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on November 2, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in 1941 to Ona Mae Saucier and Henry Desire Saucier, Sr. A graduate of Chalmette High School in 1960, he went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1961-1964 and then started his 30+ year career in banking and finance. Henry had a wonderful ability to connect with people and made friends wherever he went. An enthusiastic conversationalist, he could keep you engaged for hours. Henry enjoyed going to the gym, telling jokes, talking politics, and most of all doting on his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Janis: their children, Andrea Saucier Crowe (Kevin) and Desiree Saucier Saenz (Jason); his Grandchildren, Stella Crowe and Dominick, Victor, and Annalisa Saenz; His siblings, Janet Guarisco (the late Vincent), Marlene Wagner (Larry), Elizabeth Lotz (Fred); his brothers and sisters in law, Calvin Anticich (Diane), Craig Anticich (Joan), Tanya Anticich, Troy Anticich (Kathryn), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, the late Henry Desire Saucier Sr. and Ona Mae Lemoine Saucier as well as his late brothers, Michael Saucier and Ralph Saucier (Laura). Family and Friends are invited to attend the celebration of the Mass at St. Jane de Chantal, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA, 70420 on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 12:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Disabled American Veterans. Condolences and tributes can be posted to www.serenitycovington.com
