Hayward Cannon Obituary

Hayward “Donnie” Cannon passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018. He was born on June 11, 1943, in Winnfield, LA to the late Haywood C. Cannon and Dovie Juanita Cannon. Donnie was married to his beloved wife, Barbara Kay Cannon, for 57 years. He was the loving father of Donn Erin Cannon and Scott Alan Cannon. He was the loving grandfather of Ashley Cannon-Laudun, Brent Cannon, Zachary Cannon, Rachel Cannon, Kaylee Cannon and Chase Cannon. He was the great grandfather of Grace Laudun and Kai Laudun. He was the brother of the late Garner Morris and the late Aaron Cannon. Donnie was a loving and loyal family man who never met a stranger. The family would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and nurses at Ochsner Northshore Hospital, who took such great care of him with such dignity and respect. The family opted for a private close-family gathering celebrating his life and legacy in lieu of a formal memorial service. Donnie Cannon was a Christian man and now lives with his Lord. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington LA.
