Glen Eric Sins Sr., 71, of Metairie, La., passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, after a lengthy illness of 35 years, surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of New Orleans, La. and a lifelong resident of Metairie, La. He graduated from East Jefferson High School Class of 1971 and Louisiana State University with a Degree in Construction Engineering. Glen was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Metairie. He was an avid LSU Fan, loved sports and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Not a day went by that he didn’t worry and pray for those he loved. Glen was preceded in death by his Parents, George & Audrey Sins and Brother, George Sins Jr. He is survived by his Wife of 41 Years, Debbie Mamerto Sins of Metairie, La., Son, Glen E. Sins Jr. and wife Toni of Metairie, La., Daughter, Kylie E. Sins of Metairie, La., Sisters, Garie S. Friloux of Mandeville, La., Gina S. Burdett of Franklinton, La., Mary Beth S Farnet of Mandeville, La., Brothers, Eric G. Sins of San Antonio, Tx., Grady E. Sins of Greely, Co., 3 Grandchildren, Rylie, Madden, Olivia and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at Shrine of the Scared Heart Chapel, Cabrini High School Campus, 1400 Moss St., New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitors should enter through the Moss St. entrance. Father Chris DeLerno and Deacon Uriel Durr will officiate. Burial will follow at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
