Georgia Carolyn Powers

Georgia Carolyn Powers, 83, of Ponchatoula, La., formerly of Catlettsburg, Ky., passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at a local care center.  She was a native of Ashland, Ky., born on April 9, 1941, and a member of the Baptist faith.  Georgia enjoyed reading, baking and cooking for family and friends, cross-stitching and watching her soap operas.

Georgia is preceded in death by her Husband, Jason Powers, Parents, Thurman & Francis Allen Stanley, Brothers, Butchie Stanley, Burtis Stanley, Randolph Stanley and Sister, Dottie McCoy.

She is survived by Daughters, Karyn Fortier and husband Anthony of Ponchatoula, La., Mona Ball of Catlettsburg, Ky., Vickie Rigsby and husband Dennis of Catlettsburg, Ky., Son, Dorsal Adams Jr. and wife Leeann of Rush Ky., Sisters, Shirley Burks, Bertha Gifford, Brothers, Roger Stanley, Teddy Stanley, 9 Grandchildren, Lyndsie, Georgia, Dennis Jr., Eric, Raven, Michael, Cindii, Morgan, C.J., 12 Great Grand Children, 1 Great Great Grandson, 2 Step Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren and many special Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
