Eula Mae J. Clairain

Eula Mae Jeanne Clairain passed away on July 13, 2015 at home with her devoted family around her. She was 81. Eula Mae was born in Abita Springs to Herbert Joseph Clairain Sr. and wife Lois Abney Clairain. Sister to Augustine Clairain Dean, Letiticia “Sue” Clairain Wolfe (deceased) and Herbert J. Clairain Jr. (deceased). Loving Mother and Best Friend to Karla King (Robert Sherman), James Wallace King II (deceased), Eric Herbert King (Rosemary Richette), Joseph Gilbert King (Susan King), and Rhonda King Hopkins (Floyd Glen Hopkins). Grandmother of Raleigh King, Matthew King, Eric P. King, Daniel J. King, Emily King, Bobbi Jo Bridges, Kayla King, Kellianna Hopkins and 6 great grandchildren. Eula Mae worked as an accountant with Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. After leaving office work, she worked with her daughter Karla in Baton Rouge. Clairain King Designs created and designed costumes for many theatres, dance companies, Mardi Gras Krewes, weddings and individual clients. The family would like to express gratitude for the compassion and friendship from St. Joseph Hospice in Covington, especially Nurse Beth McQuary and Aide Ann Taylor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice of Covington.
