Eric Michael Calton, born March 25th, 1971, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.  He made many life-long friends and cherished his ties to them.  Long conversations were always enjoyed especially when a bonfire or fireplace were a part.  Eric was a great cook, but kitchens were too hot.  He trained as a massage therapist and enjoyed meeting the clients he became acquainted with.  Katrina changed New Orleans so he began helping people repair and rebuild homes.  He did remodels and helped many clients with small repairs as well.  Eric kept in contact with many and treated them like family, especially retirees.  He loved meeting people and always had time for conversations with friends and family.  A happy smiling fellow loved by many missed by all.

Eric is survived by Daughters Ashley Nichols, Amanda Calton, Layla Calton and Kyla Zimmerman, Mother, Teresa Calton, Granddaughters, Emma Adamson, Daisy Nichols, Olivia Nichols and Isabella Gendron. He was very much looking forward to the upcoming birth of his first grandson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, La., 70433.  Pastor Jack Boudreaux will officiate.  Burial will follow at Abita Springs Cemetery, Abita Springs, La.
