Elaine Mary Gaspard Maher

Elaine Mary Gaspard Maher, 83, of New Orleans, LA., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.  She was a native of Plaucheville, LA. a resident of New Orleans LA. and Poplarville, MS.  Elaine was a member of the Catholic faith and she enjoyed saying The Lord’s Prayer daily.  She was a Homemaker and raised 9 children.  Elaine loved working in her garden, watching her cardinals, spending time spoiling her children, grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Michael R. Maher Sr., Sons, Michael R. Maher Jr., Matthew Maher Sr., Daughter, Melinda DuRousseau, Parents, Lavine & Mary Gaspard, Brothers, McRoy Gaspard, Homer Gaspard, Jules Gaspard, Sisters, Lula Bordelon, Eula Phillips, Inez Firmin and Darlene Gaspard.

Elaine is survived by her Sons, Mitchell Maher Sr. and wife Donielle of Kenner, LA., Mark Maher Sr. and wife Tracey of New Orleans, LA., Daughters, Michelle Maher of Poplarville, MS., Marlene Maher of Metairie, LA., Melanie Heffner and husband Rhett of Poplarville, MS., Monica Maher of Jefferson, LA., 19 Grandchildren 23 Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
