Eileen Frances Cassard Sarver passed away peacefully due to complications from dementia in Lacombe, LA on Saturday, February 15, 2025. A native of New Orleans, age 80 years.
A lifelong resident of the metro New Orleans area, Eileen was raised in the Irish Channel neighborhood, where she developed a strong sense of community and a love for her city.
Eileen attended Annunciation High School and carried with her the values of those formative years throughout her life. She was known for her outgoing nature and direct approach to life. Her honesty and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Eileen was a devoted mother to her two sons, Mark Sarver and his wife, Bonnie, and Michael Sarver and his wife, Denise, as well as the loving grandmother of Matthew, Drew, Kirstin, and Kelli; She is also fondly remembered as an adoring aunt to her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Cassard; her father, Frank Cassard; and her sister, Joycelyn Koll.
She will be remembered by her family and friends for her unwavering love, her lively spirit, and her candid way of speaking. Eileen’s presence in the lives of those around her will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 4317 Richland Ave., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment to follow at St. Joseph No.1 Catholic Cemetery, 2220 Washington Ave., New Orleans, LA.
