Edward Brown Jr. Obituary

Life is not a destination, but merely a stop along the way.

On September 28th, 2024, the angel of silence came into the room of Edward Lee Brown, Jr. and, with chilly fingers, sealed the lips of a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. His soul winged its flight from this world of sin, sorrow, and pain to a place of eternal rest.

Edward was born December 6, 1964, in Bogalusa, LA, to the late Edward Lee Brown, Sr. and Diane Johnson Brown. The family later moved to Covington, LA, where his mother later united in marriage to James “Gus” Davis.

He joined Bethel Reform Methodist Church at an early age. After graduating from Covington High School, he joined the United States Army, where he served for ten years in Radio Communication. He recently completed 25 years of employment at Bridgestone Firestone, Granteville, SC.

In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, traveling, and watching football (in and out of season).

Edward is preceded in death by his biological father, Edward Lee Brown, Sr., a sister, Karen Brown Marigny, grandparent Collins & Minnie Lee Johnson, and grandmother, Katherine Davis.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Pamela D Brown; his parents, James & Diane Davis of Covington, LA; 3 children, LaQuandria (Darren) Fielding, Roswell, GA; Adrianne Brown, Charlotte, NC; Brian Brown, Hephzibah, GA., Jamarcus Gartrell- Godson raised in the home.  2 brothers Derrick (Dionne) Davis, Eric (Jennifer) Davis of Covington, LA. Devoted mother-in-law Lear Tutt; 7 grandchildren: Jaidyn, Marjorie, Malaina, Dallas, Jerimah, Autumn, and Cairo. 2 sister-in-law Martina (Andrew) Hinton; Marie Laine, Charlotte, NC; 1 brother-in-law Clarence Tutt, Lincolnton, GA; Godchildren; Christopher Chinn, Jalen Franklin, Quinen Coleman, Brandon Coleman and Lalonna Ross; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
