Donna Kay Austin Migues

Donna Kay Austin Migues, 67, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Denham Springs, La.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and was a native of Fort Worth, Texas.  Donna moved to Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, during her adolescent years, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and compassion.  She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her loved ones, her beloved dogs, and her birds.  In her younger years, she opened her home to foster children, providing them with care and stability.  Later in life, she extended that same nurturing spirit to animals in need.  Known for her remarkable green thumb, she could cultivate and revive nearly any plant, turning her surroundings into a thriving haven.  She attended Delgado College, where she pursued her education with determination.

Donna was preceded in death by her two husbands, Jeffrey A. Austin Sr. and Kaven Miques, as well as her two sons, Jeffrey A. Austin Jr. and Michael B. Austin, Parents, Billy & Mary Jane Newton and Brother, Michael Newton.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristin D. Austin of Ponchatoula, La., Son Joseph C. Austin, 6 Grandchildren, Johnathan Lange, Victoria Austin, Lacy E. Austin, Spencer Bilello, Joseph C. Austin Jr., Bryli A. Austin, 3 Great Grandchildren, Jacob Perry, Rowan Perry, Caliegh Perry and many family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, LA. 70433.  Burial will follow at Willie Lee Cemetery, Folsom, La.
