Dollie Scheaffer SanFilippo

Dollie Scheaffer SanFilippo, 63 of Slidell, Louisiana passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loves ones on the morning of January 5th 2026 after fighting a long and hard battle of pancreatic cancer.  She was born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana and permanently moved to Slidell, Louisiana in early 1985 after marrying her dear husband Scott in the fall of 1984.  Dollie and Scott raised three daughters together, Hannah, Hailie and Collyn.  She was well known for her community service throughout the state of Louisiana, especially with the Miss Slidell pageant and Miss Louisiana organization, where she served for over 30 years.  Dollie also loved working as a substitute Teacher at Cypress Cove elementary.  She truly cherished all the teachers and children she got to work with.  Dollie loved spending time with her cousins and best friend, doing DIY crafts and being surrounded by her family who meant the world to her.

Dollie was preceded by her parents Donald and Barbra Scheaffer Sr and her brother Donald Scheaffer Jr.

She is survived by her husband Scott SanFilippo, her children Hannah Rivera (Nick), Hailie Slagle (Alex), Collyn Stögner (Corey); Cherished grandchildren: Luke, Zackary, Loki, Kenny, Ashton, Eleanor, Coraline, Amelia (Anastasia), Oliver;  and her sister Darlene Martin.

Please join in the celebration of Dollie’s life on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Town of Pearl River Community Center, 39443 Hwy 41 Spur, Pearl River, LA 70452.  The doors will be open at 6 PM and a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:30 PM.  In memory of Dollie, please feel free to join us in wearing her favorite color, PINK.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to pancreatic cancer action network (Pancan.org)

Scott and the girls would like to thank all their family and friends who help them through this journey. We love and cherish you all.
