Diana Leilani Gahagan, age 85, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 8, 1938. She went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2023 with her family (and pets) at her bedside. She is preceded in death by her parents, Violet McFarland nee Rezents and Earling Sampson Plada Camacho, Sr., as well as her brother Earl Camacho Jr. and her son, Mark Aaron Gahagan. She, is survived by her sister Arlene Porter nee Camacho (Robert) and her remaining children Steven M. Randall (Jolene), Thomas F. Randall III (Linda), Melissa A. Hecker nee Gahagan (Robert), Mike A. Gahagan, Mitch A. Gahagan, Robert Cozine, along with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. A resident of California in the Oakland area after WW2, she moved to the New Orleans area and settled in Mandeville. She was a familiar face behind the counter at King Richards and Danny’s Fried Chicken Restaurants. Diana died peacefully in her sleep after a lengthy illness, robbing her of her personality and memories of her life and family. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life, will be held at a later date. Special thanks go to our family, friends & neighbors involved in her care and to the staff of Eagan Hospice during her transition.
